 Qi-Sheng Zhang (January 18,1939 -), male, Han nationality, Xiangshan County, party members, timber processing and wood-based panel technology experts. 1961, graduated from Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing Forestry University is currently professor and doctoral tutor, was elected as the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1997.

 Completion of "pencil board new technology research," Pencil China Pencil Industry Manufacturing Technology major reforms to simplify processes, reduce energy consumption of wood and the obvious economic benefits, received first prize for outstanding achievements in Tianjin in 1982, awarded third prize national invention in 1984.

 Bamboo at home and abroad to carry out the first industrial use of research, has developed compartment floor with bamboo plywood, bamboo gluing construction template, bamboo particle board, wood composite container flooring, laminated wood and other wood composite products. Emphasis on research and economic integration and effective conduct applied research, the product used widely in many fields, promotion and demonstration led into a large number of bamboo processing enterprises, to promote and facilitate the formation of China's bamboo processing industry and development. Study made of bamboo, wood composite structure and strength failure theories and successfully used for the bamboo science, providing a theoretical basis for efficient use, so that achievement to reach international advanced level. Presided over the completion of the "bamboo plywood Research and Extension," by Ministry of Forestry Science and Technology Progress Award in 1982, was awarded second prize of national scientific and technological progress in 1995; "bamboo resources and its processing and utilization technology" was awarded the second Elite Technology Award in 1998. The recently completed "larch tannin phenolic resin adhesive and application," in 2005 by the State Invention; "poplar wood processing technology, research and extension," was the 2005 National Science and Technology Progress Award; has authorized the National Invention 8 patents, which "bamboo plywood manufacturing methods improved," ,was awarded a patent for invention patent in China to create gold in 1995, twice won the Jiangsu Elite Top Ten inventors in 1996,2006. Is currently engaged in charcoal, bamboo vinegar, and processing of crops such as straw pollution research and development work.

 Publishing 8 books, the main representative books are  production technology questions with plywood, bamboo industrial utilization of bamboo crafts in China, published more than 80 academic articles. Has been "to outstanding young and middle-level science and technology experts", "National Advanced Worker Spark Technology", "National Science and Technology to promote advanced worker", etc, he is a member of the State Forestry Administration and Technology Committee, China's Bamboo Industry Association Vice President, Chinese Society of Forestry branch vice chairman of the wood industry is the processing and utilization of bamboo in China and the world pioneer in the field research, processing and utilization of bamboo and made a creative contribution.
